Kodiak Hockey League

This registration is for both head and assistant coaches, for the 2024-25 KHL youth hockey season.
 

If this is your first year coaching with KHL, please fill out the coaching application prior to completing this registration. If you're a returning KHL Coach, please email the Director of Coaching, joshmccarthy@kodiakhockeyleague.org, with the age-group you are interested in coaching. 

There are requirements mandated by USA Hockey and Alaska State Hockey that have to be met prior to coaching any players.  Please note: at the conclusion of the season, coaches that coach a full season are eligible for reimbursement of $100.00, to cover the costs of registering with USA Hockey, background screening, coach clinic, and the modules.

1. Enroll in USA Hockey, as a player/coach - $46.00
2. Complete SafeSport training –  Free - must be completed every year.
3. Complete background check – $30.00 - good for two seasons.
4. Complete Age Specific training module – $10 per unit
5. Register for Coach Clinic – $40 - Scroll down to Search For Courses, enter search information.  Once Kodiak’s clinic is put into the system, you can click on the register button and register for the clinic. **Most clinics are online. We may be offering an in-person clinic mid-October**
